Our approach involves deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production managed in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. We aim to redefine possibilities in the automotive market by combining performance, sustainability, design, and engineering.

The Role of Process Engineer

Lucid Motors Middle East is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing technical and operational processes across various aftersales functions, including service centers, body repair centers (LABRC), mobile service operations, PDI, and service parts activities. The Process Engineer supports the Aftersales Program Manager by providing engineering analysis, process design, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, scalable, and high-quality aftersales operations aligned with Lucid engineering standards. This position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, standardize, and document end-to-end service processes covering diagnosis, repair workflows, quality checks, and turnaround time (TAT).
  • Analyze repair cycle times and throughput to improve operational efficiency and reduce customer wait times.
  • Develop and optimize processes related to PDI, warranty repairs, and workshop operations in alignment with Lucid engineering standards.
  • Create PFMEAs, control plans, SOPs, and work instructions for aftersales processes using Lucid’s Process Engineering methodologies.
  • Provide data analysis, process insights, and engineering inputs to support program planning and execution for aftersales initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives, including service readiness, new service program launches, and field quality improvements, participating in reviews with Engineering, Quality, Parts Operations, Logistics, LABRC, and Field Support teams.
  • Partner with Field Quality Engineers to analyze failure trends and develop corrective process actions, supporting root cause analysis and containment activities using methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma.
  • Translate engineering solutions and design changes into practical service center workflows and procedures.
  • Improve parts ordering, availability, and parts-to-repair workflows in collaboration with Parts Operations and Supply Chain teams, identifying fulfillment bottlenecks and designing process improvements.
  • Analyze service operational data, including First Time Through (FTT), Turnaround Time (TAT), repeat repairs, quality flags, and parts usage.
  • Develop dashboards and performance reports to support KPI tracking and decision-making, and map process gaps within DMS, ERP, and technical information portals.
  • Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve technician utilization, and optimize workshop layout and flow, conducting onsite time studies and capacity assessments.
  • Ensure all process improvements align with Lucid’s global standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in process engineering, automotive service operations, aftersales engineering, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing service KPIs and working across engineering, quality, logistics, and service teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to EV aftersales operations and service environments.
  • Experience with service parts operations, warranty processes, or body repair centers.
  • Experience leading process standardization across multi-location operations.
  • Knowledge of BIW, high voltage systems, or EV repair processes.

Compensation and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Compensation for this role includes a discretionary cash incentive and participation in an equity program.
