About the Role

Pico Play is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services to meet project demands.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Procurement Engineer will be central to handling all procurement activities within Pico Play. This includes strategic sourcing, cultivating strong supplier relationships, and coordinating closely with the local team. A key aspect of this role involves serving as a vital liaison between local clients in Saudi Arabia and the Pico Play tender team located in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring seamless communication and timely procurement for all tender requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle, including tendering, negotiations, vendor selection, and contract management.
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify material and service needs.
  • Analyze market trends to identify optimal products, services, and suppliers.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of materials and services to maintain project schedules.
  • Manage procurement budgets, focusing on cost-effectiveness and accountability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed procurement records and reports for audits and reviews.
  • Implement and enforce established procurement policies and procedures.
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a procurement engineering role or a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex procurement processes and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make informed sourcing decisions.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active coordination with both local teams and international counterparts.
