The Role of Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist will provide essential support to the superior manager in all purchasing activities and duties. This role involves active interaction with both foreign and local suppliers, as well as various internal stakeholders, with the primary goal of ensuring that agreed-upon pricing, timing, and delivery terms are consistently met and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across business units to plan and prioritize purchasing activities effectively.
• Review purchasing requests, arrange for competitive quotations, and negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Share received quotations with end-users for necessary approval.
• Transmit and prioritize approved purchase orders to selected suppliers.
• Track order acknowledgements and prepare and communicate reports on shortages and back orders.
• Monitor orders closely, confirming delivery dates and associated costs.
• Review, update, and maintain purchase orders from initiation until their full completion.

Supplier and Internal Coordination

• Maintain close coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
• Resolve any delivery and payment issues that arise between suppliers and the company.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and authorize the accounts payable department to process payments.

Location and Employment Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a dynamic environment requiring consistent attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
