Radiation Therapist

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Radiation Therapist. This full-time position involves preparing radiation therapy treatment plans and delivering radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with treatment planning, including the use of simulators, Computer Technology (CT) Sim, dose calculations, obtaining contours, and making templates.
• Support the Senior Mould Room Technologist in creating shells and radiation protective devices.
• Prepare the treatment room and administer prescribed radiation treatments, ensuring accurate documentation on treatment sheets.
• Verify treatment prescriptions, diagnoses, calculations, and patient identification.
• Conduct routine safety checks and ensure the proper operation of equipment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or potential safety hazards to senior staff.
• Maintain patient records, reports, and treatment files, and explain radiation procedures to patients.
• Collect CPT and statistics in a timely manner.
• Liaise with all sections of the department to ensure the smooth operation of the assigned area.
• Inform treating Radiation Oncologists of any undue patient conditions or reactions.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.
• Adhere to all Hospital policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Professional Development

Candidates should be experienced rotational radiation therapists. The role emphasizes continuous professional growth and development through ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
