About the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking an experienced React Native Developer to join its technology team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves supporting digital banking and financial services solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-performance cross-platform mobile applications using React Native. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and strong expertise in modern mobile application architecture, TypeScript, the React Native ecosystem, API integration, security, performance optimization, and enterprise application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support integration with various banking services, including account information, customer onboarding, authentication, fund transfers, payments, beneficiary management, transaction history, cards and card services, notifications, and other digital banking services.
• Handle sensitive financial and customer information in compliance with banking security and regulatory requirements.
• Work with enterprise integration layers, API gateways, middleware, and backend services as applicable.

Security and Integration

• Implement secure mobile application development practices suitable for banking environments, including secure authentication (OAuth , OpenID Connect, JWT, MFA, biometric) and data protection (in transit and at rest).
• Apply secure storage mechanisms for credentials, tokens, and sensitive information, adhering to mobile security best practices and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities identified through assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews.
• Consume and integrate REST APIs and JSON-based services, managing API authentication, authorization, error handling, timeouts, retries, and response validation.
• Collaborate with backend developers, API teams, architects, and business analysts to resolve integration issues and troubleshoot failures across environments.

Performance and Native Development

• Analyze and improve application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and startup time, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript code.
• Optimize rendering, state management, API calls, animations, and large data sets, ensuring consistent experience across devices and OS versions.
• Understand underlying Android and iOS platforms, troubleshoot native build and runtime issues, and work with tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Xcode, and CocoaPods.
• Develop or maintain native modules when platform-specific capabilities are required, with a basic understanding of Kotlin/Java and Swift/Objective-C.

Testing, CI/CD, and Production Support

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and component tests using frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, or Detox.
• Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects and ensure high-quality code through peer reviews and automated testing.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated mobile application builds, testing, and deployment, supporting mobile releases through Google Play Console and Apple App Store/TestFlight.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents affecting mobile banking applications, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor application crashes, errors, API failures, and performance issues, participating in on-call or incident-management activities as required.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in banking, fintech, financial services, payment, or other highly regulated environments. A strong understanding of secure mobile application development and enterprise integration is essential for this role.
