Safety Manager

About the Role

Trading and Development Partnership is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading, developing, and enforcing workplace environmental health and safety (EHS) programs. The Safety Manager will be responsible for establishing a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and minimizing workplace risks and liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and implement health and safety plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Action Plans.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant local and national safety standards, adapting company procedures as laws evolve.
• Lead initiatives to promote safety awareness and accountability across all organizational levels.
• Conduct regular site visits, risk assessments, and inspections of facilities, equipment, and field operations to identify hazards.
• Identify and implement corrective measures for unsafe practices or environmental hazards, ensuring their execution.
• Write and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safe work protocols for high-risk operations.
• Lead root-cause analyses (RCA) for all incidents, near-misses, illnesses, and injuries.
• Manage worker’s compensation cases, liaise with insurance carriers, and coordinate return-to-work programs.
• Maintain logs (*, OSHA 300 logs), compile accident reports, and track key performance metrics (TRIR, DART) for executive management reporting.
• Plan, schedule, and deliver safety onboarding for new hires and regular mandatory training (*, HazCom, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, CPR/First Aid).
• Establish and mentor members of joint health and safety committees.
• Oversee vendor and contractor safety compliance platforms (*, ISNetworld, Avetta).

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in safety management.
• Strong leadership abilities and a proactive approach to safety.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local/national equivalents).
• Analytical approach to risk assessment and incident prevention.

Work Environment

The role involves a mix of office-based work and field/facility site visits. Occasional exposure to active construction or manufacturing sites will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots. On-call availability is required for response to critical safety incidents.
