SAP Basis Technical Consultant

About the Role

Alfanar is seeking an SAP Basis Technical Consultant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of SAP systems across all environments. The consultant will be responsible for effective Basis administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including monitoring system health, availability, and performance.
• Manage SAP instances, profiles, parameters, and services, performing regular system checks and troubleshooting across DEV, QA, and PRD environments.
• Configure and manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS), overseeing transports across DEV, QA, and PRD.
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades and patching, supporting SAP upgrades, migrations, and system refreshes while ensuring proper change and release management.
• Monitor SAP application and database performance, analyzing work processes, system logs, dumps, and workload.
• Troubleshoot system performance and availability issues, monitor background jobs, RFCs, and interfaces, and perform root-cause analysis to resolve technical incidents.
• Manage SAP technical users and access-related issues, supporting SAP security and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor database and SAP backups, supporting restore, recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, and participating in High Availability (HA) and DR testing.
• Provide technical support for SAP Basis-related issues, coordinating with functional, ABAP, database, network, and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in SAP implementation, migration, and integration projects, maintaining technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Offer technical recommendations, mentoring, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in SAP Basis technical consulting or a related field.
