About the Role

Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences is seeking a Senior Manager Compliance for a full-time position based in Riyadh. This role is central to conducting control reviews across the MEA region, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia (KSA). The Senior Manager will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach to compliance, fostering a strong culture of integrity, transparency, and adherence to regulations throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct control reviews within the MEA region, specifically focused on KSA properties.
  • Analyze results from KSA’s CSA and SPACE assessments to identify common issues and best practices.
  • Implement relevant solutions such as training, advice on mitigating controls, and policy reviews based on analysis.
  • Manage compliance KPIs across KSA and the broader MEA region.
  • Understand and interpret Lease and Management agreements, providing compliance support related to these agreements.
  • Assist in fraud investigations as needed.
  • Distribute monthly compliance measures and progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide ad hoc compliance support across MEA hotels.

Compliance Program Leadership

  • Lead long-term culture change programs focused on compliance.
  • Lead compliance education programs and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Shape compliance messaging and communication plans for the organization.
  • Build risk profiles for hotels or specific areas within KSA/MEA and establish a framework to safeguard the business.
  • Ensure compliance considerations are integrated throughout the entire hotel life cycle.

Collaboration and Business Integration

  • Collaborate with various departments, including Operations Finance, Internal Audit, APAC & Americas Compliance, Shared Service Centers, Research & Policy, Corporate Finance, Legal Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to compliance issues.
  • Work closely with Internal Audit, including facilitating follow-up on remediation points post-internal audits and maintaining SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Opening team to embed compliant processes during opening/conversion activities and in early operations.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and streamlining of business processes, including supporting technology developments to maximize efficiency and reduce risk.

  • Demonstrated ability to uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethical behavior, and absolute discretion with sensitive information.
  • Proven experience in building collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to evaluate and streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Confidence to constructively challenge colleagues regarding compliance with Hilton policy and accounting regulations.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach to work.

Travel and Work Environment

This role requires travel flexibility across the MEA region, sometimes at short notice. The successful candidate must be able to fulfill requirements to visit all KSA properties as part of their responsibilities.
