About the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking a Senior Middleware Support Engineer to provide operational support for enterprise middleware and API management platforms. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position is critical for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical integration services built on IBM middleware technologies. The role operates within a 24x7 production support organization, focusing on complex incident resolution, advanced troubleshooting, and platform monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for enterprise middleware and API platforms.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents affecting middleware services and API integrations.
• Support IBM API Connect, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) environments.
• Monitor middleware infrastructure, integration services, and API gateways to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to minimize recurring incidents.
• Manage middleware deployments, configuration changes, patches, and environment maintenance.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Support API lifecycle management, gateway operations, and integration services.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Participate in release planning, production readiness reviews, and post-deployment validation.
• Mentor junior support engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, SLAs, and ITIL best practices.

Experience Requirements

• 6-10+ years of experience in Middleware/Application Production Support.
• Minimum 4+ years supporting IBM middleware platforms in enterprise production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect, IBM IIB, and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Experience supporting API gateways, enterprise integration platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms.
• Strong understanding of middleware security, certificates, and networking concepts.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active participation in a 24x7 production support environment and close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure the continuous delivery of highly available integration services.
