The Senior Network Engineer Role

This full-time position is focused on implementing and managing Cisco ACI solutions within large-scale enterprise and service provider data centre environments. The role involves delivering Application Centric Infrastructure solutions for customers and contributing to the modernisation of network infrastructure through Cisco ACI, including leading complex transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support Cisco ACI fabrics, including APIC and Nexus 9000 Spine/Leaf components.
• Design and manage ACI policies, encompassing Tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, and L3Outs.
• Integrate ACI with various platforms such as routing, security, load balancing, and virtualisation.
• Perform fabric upgrades, health monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Execute change activities, maintenance windows, and migration tasks in adherence to best practices.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and migration plans.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver robust ACI solutions.

Advanced Responsibilities for Senior Engineers

In addition to the core responsibilities, Senior Network Engineers will undertake the following:

• Lead ACI architecture design and complex migration projects.
• Conduct customer workshops to gather requirements and present solutions.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical expertise.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of experience as a Cisco ACI Engineer. A strong background in network engineering, particularly within data centre environments, is required. Proficiency in the deployment, configuration, and support of Cisco ACI fabrics and policies is essential.
