About the Role

Mace Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Golf Course Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the assured delivery of complex golf course developments within a large luxury mixed-use project. The position requires a Saudi National with over 10 years of experience in project management, specifically with expertise in golf course construction and development.

Project Context

The successful candidate will work on a significant luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh, where Mace Group provides project management consultancy services. The role focuses on integrating project controls with specialist technical knowledge across various aspects of golf course development, including construction, shaping, drainage, irrigation, agronomy, landscaping, and operational handover. The objective is to achieve safe, sustainable, and high-quality outcomes that align with design intent, playability, programme, budget, and long-term operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end golf course delivery, from strategy, mobilisation, and procurement through construction, grow-in, handover, and closeout.
• Integrate design, shaping, drainage, irrigation, turf, landscaping, and facilities to maintain quality, playability, and operational performance.
• Drive governance, controls, risk management, cost management, programme adherence, and reporting discipline.
• Champion stakeholder alignment, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), sustainability, and assurance.
• Manage delivery from project inception/brief through design development, planning, contractor procurement, and construction phases, in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
• Manage project budgets, identifying and highlighting any risks, challenges, and mitigations.
• Supervise change and commercial performance with integrity.
• Lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Manage design and wider consultant teams collaboratively to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
• Promote Mace's value of Safety First, exhibiting visible safety behaviours, sharing lessons learned, and utilising safety moments and Mace's HSW framework.
• Possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
• Ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed in line with service excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in project management, with a specialisation in golf course development.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in golf course construction, shaping, drainage, irrigation, agronomy, and landscaping.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to operational handover.
• Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, and budget oversight.
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality outcomes.
