About the Role

Mace is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Golf Course Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing project management consultancy services for a large luxury mixed-use development. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in complex golf course developments.

Project Overview

This role focuses on a significant luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh, KSA, where Mace delivers project management consultancy services. The Senior Project Manager will lead the assured delivery of golf course developments, integrating project controls with specialized technical knowledge across various disciplines. This includes construction, shaping, drainage, irrigation, agronomy, landscaping, and operational handover, ensuring safe, sustainable, and high-quality outcomes that align with design intent, playability, program, budget, and long-term operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion safety, wellbeing, inclusivity, and responsible delivery across all project phases.
• Deliver projects through clear planning, robust quality systems, and strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Supervise change and commercial performance with integrity.
• Lead teams to achieve strategic project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), share best practices, and foster potential within Mace.
• Lead end-to-end golf course delivery, encompassing strategy, mobilization, procurement, construction, grow-in, handover, and closeout.
• Integrate design, shaping, drainage, irrigation, turf, landscaping, and facilities to maintain quality, playability, and operational performance.
• Drive governance, controls, risk management, cost control, program adherence, and reporting discipline.
• Champion stakeholder alignment, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, sustainability, and assurance.

Accountabilities

• Promote Mace's value of Safety First, demonstrating visible safety behaviors, sharing lessons learned, and utilizing safety moments and Mace's HSW framework.
• Possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
• Promote a diverse and inclusive working environment and support team wellbeing.
• Ensure robust quality systems are in place and managed in line with service excellence.
• Manage project delivery from inception/brief through design development, planning, contractor procurement, and construction phase, adhering to the overall delivery program and agreed milestones.
• Manage tasks and deliverables in support of senior leaders and project teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Manage project budgets, identifying risks, challenges, and mitigations.
• Support the long-term development of the function or Business Unit, contributing to a sustainable business future.
• Manage design and consultant teams collaboratively to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
• Actively network, innovate, and seek best practices, utilizing the knowledge resources of Mace Group.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in project management, specifically within golf course development.
• Demonstrated expertise in integrating project controls with technical knowledge across construction, shaping, drainage, irrigation, agronomy, landscaping, and operational handover.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects to meet design intent, playability, program, budget, and long-term operational requirements.
