Senior Project Risk Engineer

About the Role

Hill International (KSA) is seeking a Senior Project Risk Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position involves managing and overseeing all aspects of project planning, development, and implementation, with a focus on risk management within construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development, and implementation for a range of projects.
• Facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues arising from different phases in the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and implement a risk management plan for construction projects, outlining processes to mitigate risks, including risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation procedures.
• Frequently facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, and other management teams.
• Predict potential financial liability for the Division based on data provided by collieries, relevant authorities, and the Division itself.
• Handle costs, claims associated with cost and time, change order management, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.
• Inform themselves of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International, ensuring continued compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Required Experience and Background

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in pre-construction management and extensive experience in project risk engineering.

• Over 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on risk.
• Strong background in pre-construction management, including contract management, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost control.
• Good working knowledge of schedule management and the sequence of activities from pre-design to design development, construction, and closeout.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Hill International (KSA) team. The role requires active participation in meetings with various stakeholders and adherence to company policies regarding quality, environment, safety, and occupational health.
