Senior Renewables Energy Engineer

Role Overview

SJ Group is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Senior Renewables Energy Engineers for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from the feasibility stage through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, concept development, and detailed design for Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, calculations, and various engineering deliverables.
• Perform solar energy yield assessments and battery storage performance evaluations.
• Coordinate grid connection requirements and manage multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Review vendor proposals, technical submissions, and design documentation.
• Support procurement processes, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and project teams.
• Liaise with clients, utilities, authorities, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a Renewables Energy Engineer.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Proficiency in conducting feasibility studies and detailed design work.
• Experience with energy yield and performance assessments.
