About the Role

Craft Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is a hands-on technical leadership role, focusing on ensuring the structural integrity and quality of projects from design through to closeout.

Core Responsibilities

• Personally review structural calculations and models.
• Approve structural and shop drawings.
• Lead BIM coordination efforts across disciplines.
• Provide technical support to construction teams.
• Ensure accurate as-built closeout documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of structural engineering experience.
• At least five years in a senior, lead, or managerial position, with responsibility for checking and approving the work of engineers, BIM modelers, and detailers.
• Strong hands-on experience in structural design, analysis, calculations, and technical review.
• Extensive experience in reinforced concrete, steel, foundations, connections, anchors, strengthening, existing structures, temporary works, and special structures.
• Proven ability to prepare, review, and approve structural design drawings, shop drawings, fabrication and erection drawings, connection details, bar bending schedules, redlines, and final as-built drawings.
• Experience in consultancy/design offices as well as contractor, design-and-build, fabrication, or construction environments.
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration or eligibility to obtain the required classification.

Technical Skills and Software Proficiency

• Strong BIM experience, including model review, multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and delivery of coordinated BIM as-built models.
• Experience resolving RFIs, NCRs, design changes, structural defects, site constraints, misalignments, cracking, deflection, and installation discrepancies.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant international standards, including ACI, ASCE, AISC, IBC, AWS, Eurocodes, and British Standards.
• Advanced practical knowledge of structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, ******, and/or Autodesk Robot.
• Strong capability in Revit Structure, Tekla Structures, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360.
• Experience with IDEA StatiCa and/or RAM Connection, Hilti PROFIS, Tekla Tedds, Bluebeam Revu, and advanced Excel.
• Ability to independently verify software results using structural fundamentals and engineering judgment.

Preferred Project Experience

Experience in complex buildings, high-end fit-out, hospitality, museums, heritage projects, artworks, refurbishment, existing-structure strengthening, and specialist fabrication will be highly regarded.
