SAICO Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriting Assistant Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to the company's underwriting operations, focusing on the non-marine general insurance portfolio.

Role Overview

The Senior Underwriting Assistant Manager will play a key role in overseeing and developing a balanced and profitable non-marine general underwriting portfolio. This involves applying best practices in risk management and ensuring the continuous refinement of underwriting processes and guidelines to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Issue quotations, renewal notices, loss records, and policies.
Oversee the development of the non-marine general underwriting portfolio to achieve profitability and balance, utilizing underwriting best practices.
Conduct risk selection, technical assessment, pricing, and underwriting for Property & General Accident (GA) lines.
Manage the underwriting portfolio, including developing and revising processes, rules, and guidelines to optimize profit.
Supervise the analysis of business portfolios for renewal and reinsurance retention assessments.
Oversee the implementation of Risk Control plans to ensure effective management and minimization of risks.
Apply, develop, and maintain pricing models and underwriting tools.
Supervise the calculation of appropriate premiums, utilizing actuarial information, statistical data, and professional judgment.
Assist in placing risks with the Reinsurance (RI) Market when they exceed the company's capacity limits, and manage general correspondences with business sources.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should bring 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in underwriting, ideally within the non-marine general insurance sector. A strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk management is essential.
