Senior VMware Consultant Pre Sales

About the Role

TMC Middle East is seeking a Senior VMware Consultant Pre Sales for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading VMware workstreams within a large-scale storage migration project, focusing on analysis, planning, and execution of migration activities while ensuring adherence to best practices.

Role Context

The Senior VMware Consultant will be responsible for managing complex VMware environments during a significant storage migration. This includes coordinating with various technical teams and ensuring minimal disruption to production workloads. The position requires a strong focus on risk assessment and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead VMware workstreams throughout a large-scale storage migration project.
• Analyze and plan migration activities across 150+ ESXi hosts and 1,000+ VMs.
• Execute and oversee Storage vMotion and datastore migrations.
• Ensure the application of VMware best practices and minimize disruption to production workloads.
• Coordinate effectively with storage, infrastructure, and customer teams.
• Assess risks associated with datastore consolidation and LUN redesign.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and migration issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in VMware infrastructure.
• Strong experience working with enterprise VMware environments.
• Proven participation in storage migration projects involving Dell EMC storage and IBM storage (FlashSystem preferred).
• Experience with multi-host VMware clusters.
• Demonstrated ability to migrate hundreds of VMs with minimal downtime.

Work Type and Location

This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage and execute project responsibilities.
