About WSP and the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects on a global scale. The role involves providing design leadership and project management expertise for diverse wayfinding projects across the region.

Role Purpose and Context

The Senior Wayfinding Designer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative wayfinding solutions. These solutions are expected to meet client objectives and exceed industry standards, focusing on elevating user experiences and navigation within built environments. This position offers a direct opportunity to lead and contribute to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design development, and implementation of wayfinding projects from inception to completion.
• Develop creative direction and execute wayfinding, signage, and placemaking projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
• Create compelling narratives and presentations to effectively communicate strategy and design proposals to clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate and work closely with wider teams of architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to propose integrated wayfinding design solutions that meet clients’ requirements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and collaboration.
• Demonstrate expertise in design software, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AI Tools, 3DS Max, and SketchUp, to create conceptual designs, sketches, and illustrations.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality design deliverables.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in wayfinding design, and incorporate relevant advancements into project deliverables.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in wayfinding design or a closely related field. Proficiency in design software is essential, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AI Tools, 3DS Max, and SketchUp.
