The Role: Software Engineering Team Lead

MOZN is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves maintaining and enhancing our transaction monitoring modules, which are critical systems for clients in detecting financial crime. The role requires leadership of an engineering team, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement through hiring and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the strategy for your team and the transaction monitoring modules it owns.
• Guide and mentor a team of engineers, assisting them in shaping their individual careers while maintaining team cohesion.
• Build scalable and reliable services through continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Collaborate with product managers to lead team projects, managing stakeholders, dependencies, roadmaps, alignment, and cost.
• Actively contribute to the evolution of MOZN's overall architecture, particularly for systems and products managed by your team.

Core Focus Areas

The Software Engineering Team Lead will oversee three primary areas:

• Codebase Stewardship: Ensuring a clean and healthy codebase and fostering a fast, efficient development process.
• Roadmap Delivery: Executing an evolving roadmap to meet client needs effectively.
• Team Leadership: Guiding a team of engineers to uphold the highest standards and continually improving the team through strategic hiring and ongoing mentoring.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates with 5-10 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a background in leading technical teams. The ideal candidate will be driven to work alongside skilled professionals on advanced AI solutions and will thrive in an environment that offers autonomy to deliver high-quality work.
