SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN STROKE

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) | مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي in Riyadh is seeking a Specialist Physician in Stroke. This full-time position involves providing specialized medical care and supervising junior medical staff, ensuring adherence to established medical standards and hospital policies. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a Consultant, providing patient care and encouragement.
• Inform the Consultant of any problems or discrepancies that may arise.
• Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards.
• Provide required patient care and management in the field of specialty, in accordance with hospital standards and Consultant requests.
• Perform assessment, examination, and compile case histories, assisting in patient diagnosis and management based on diagnostic manuals.
• Register detailed medical history, conduct thorough physical examinations, and create patient management plans for discussion with the Consultant.
• Record Consultant's orders, progress notes, and other required documents for outpatients.
• Provide on-call coverage for the specialty on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Prepare for and participate in specialist ward rounds as per policy.
• Document findings accurately in medical records.
• Follow up on investigation results for outpatients and modify treatment accordingly.
• Attend specialty clinics and outpatient clinics, and share on-call schedules as required.
• Perform any other assigned clinical responsibilities.

Academic and Training Contributions

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Stay informed of the latest techniques and developments, particularly within the area of specialization.
• Implement new techniques selectively to improve technical standards.
• Participate in the educational activities and training programs of the Department.
• Participate in national and international medical conferences.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant medical field.
• This position is open to Saudi Nationals Only.
