Overview of the Sr. Advisor, Parts Planning Role

Lucid Motors Saudi Arabia is seeking a Sr. Advisor, Parts Planning to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for forecasting, planning, and optimizing demand for OEM spare parts. The primary objective is to ensure high service levels across dealer and service networks while minimizing inventory risks, balancing parts availability, inventory investment, and obsolescence in line with OEM supply chain policies and aftersales performance targets.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts for OEM spare parts across all product categories, utilizing historical sales, vehicle population, failure rates, and lifecycle data.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, implementing corrective actions as required, and support short-term and long-term demand planning cycles in alignment with OEM guidelines.
  • Translate demand forecasts into replenishment plans to ensure optimal stock availability at PDC/RDC and dealer locations, balancing service level targets with inventory investment, aging, and obsolescence control.
  • Monitor stock coverage, backorders, and excess inventory risks, recommending redistribution, liquidation, or return-to-OEM actions for slow-moving and obsolete parts.
  • Ensure alignment with OEM demand planning processes, systems, and parameters, participating in OEM calls, planning reviews, and performance assessments.
  • Manage exception scenarios, including VOR demand, recalls, service campaigns, and emergency supply requirements.
  • Track and report demand planning KPIs such as forecast accuracy, parts fill rate, backorder levels, inventory turns, and aging, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Support demand planning for new vehicle model launches and parts introductions, adjusting forecasts based on vehicle parc evolution, warranty periods, and product lifecycle stages.
  • Coordinate phase-in/phase-out planning for superseded and discontinued parts.

Cross-Functional Engagement

The Sr. Advisor will work closely with Aftersales, Parts Pricing, Supply Chain, Warehouse/3PL, Sales, and Finance teams. This includes supporting dealer network demand planning and stock optimization initiatives, as well as providing analytical support for promotions, campaigns, and special programs.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in parts planning, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within the automotive industry.

Location and Employment Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, offering an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative automotive company.
