STAFF NURSE I

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Staff Nurse I. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, and adhering to established standards of nursing practice and performance. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves demonstrating leadership competencies when in charge or acting as a shift resource/team leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care as assigned, following core standards and established policies.
• Assume accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, including discharge planning.
• Contribute to decreasing length of stay/waiting time in collaboration with Case Management.
• Document all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
• Report equipment failures, safety/security issues, and supply inventory reductions to the Head Nurse or designee.
• Demonstrate collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships to achieve continuous improvement in patient care quality.
• Act as an advocate for patients and families, identifying ideas for quality improvement and issues affecting patient outcomes.
• Promote a safe environment and patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying risks.
• Comply with policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
• Contribute to cost efficiency savings on the unit, maintaining awareness of resource utilization.
• Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction.
• Lead unit-based Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
• Participate in new staff/nursing student orientation, acting as a preceptor/mentor.
• Demonstrate transcultural principles in nursing practice.
• Contribute to special projects/assignments linked to nursing strategic priorities.
• Assist in promoting and sharing knowledge via mentorship in line with relevant research and evidence-based practice.
• Follow all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and other’s education, training, and development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a relevant nursing field is required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh.
