Structural Engineer (Design Services)

About the Role

Parsons is seeking a Structural Specialist (Design Services) to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time position involves reviewing and supporting various structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project standards, specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.
• Review design-build submissions, drawings, calculations, design reports, operating manuals, and technical documents for compliance with client specifications and project standards.
• Review contractor submittals, including materials, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents, and related technical submissions.
• Support the Lead Civil Engineer and Senior Structural Engineers in preparing, reviewing, and consolidating technical reports, investigations, root cause analyses, and engineering status reports.
• Assist in maintaining project budgets, schedules, and compliance with the approved scope of work.
• Provide structural engineering support to multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, MEP, and project controls disciplines.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of design and engineering activities.
• Attend and witness inspections, testing, and acceptance activities as required.
• Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to structural engineering matters.
• Provide technical support to construction sites and assist in resolving design-related issues.
• Identify discrepancies, evaluate technical challenges, and recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in safety meetings and review installation demonstrations of proposed materials and construction systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to review technical documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Experience in supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh. The role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
