About the Role

Sama Construction & Contracting is seeking a Technical Engineer to join our technical office team in Riyadh. This full-time position supports large-scale infrastructure and mass earthworks projects, focusing on critical technical documentation and data management within the construction sector.

Role Purpose

The Technical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that all engineering documentation aligns with project specifications. This involves preparing essential technical submittals, managing shop drawings, and reviewing crucial geotechnical and survey data. A primary responsibility includes performing accurate volume calculations for excavation and filling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review design drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to prepare detailed shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Perform earthwork volume calculations, including cut and fill, cross-sections, and grading plans, utilizing civil engineering software.
• Coordinate with site execution teams, consultants, and sub-contractors to address technical queries (RFIs) and resolve design discrepancies.
• Prepare method statements, material submittals, and technical compliance reports for earthworks and infrastructure utilities.
• Maintain organized technical documentation and log systems for drawings, approvals, and submittals.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in a technical engineering role, ideally within infrastructure or earthworks projects. This position is suitable for individuals early in their professional career who are detail-oriented and eager to contribute to large-scale construction initiatives.
