About the Role of Technical Manager

Marco is seeking a Technical Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position that requires extensive experience in overseeing and managing technical aspects of design and operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with engineering standards, coordinating with various stakeholders, and providing technical solutions for operational works.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all permanent and temporary works design related to company operations.
• Supervise external permanent and temporary works design to ensure compliance with engineering/design requirements and bid documents.
• Liaise with managers to ensure efficient communication, prompt response to design/construction queries, and timely transfer of drawings/documents.
• Provide engineering and planning solutions for all aspects of operational works.
• Liaise with permanent and temporary works design consultants as required, checking associated drawings and documents.
• Assist the project team with all technical issues.
• Liaise with the Client’s Representative on all engineering matters.
• Arrange for necessary approval of permanent works materials by the appropriate design consultant/Client Representative.
• Set up a Document Control System for the internal and external distribution of permanent and temporary works drawings/engineering documentation.
• Coordinate and liaise with all statutory authorities and representatives from other organizations.
• Arrange for certification of in-house and external design in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Supervise the in-house planning section and monitor work progress against the contract program.
• Implement and coordinate the development of a design program to meet procurement and construction program requirements.
• Manage and review "value engineering" procedures.
• Fulfill the role of Design Manager / Temporary Works Design Coordinator as necessary for projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in technical management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee complex design processes for both permanent and temporary works.
• Strong understanding of engineering and design requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and bid documents.
• Experience in coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and statutory authorities.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active engagement with project teams, clients, and external consultants, operating within a dynamic construction and engineering environment.
