About Stradaverde and the Role

Stradaverde is a multi-disciplinary firm delivering integrated services across architecture, master planning, structural and bridges engineering, electromechanical engineering, sustainability, and transportation engineering. We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in the field.

Role Overview

The Traffic Engineer will play a key role in our transportation engineering projects. The primary focus of this position involves conducting thorough traffic analyses and studies, actively supporting various transportation planning activities, and assessing the performance of intersections and corridors to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting and interpreting traffic data from various sources.
• Utilizing modeling tools to evaluate proposed transportation schemes and their potential impacts.
• Coordinating effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams to integrate traffic engineering insights.
• Supporting clients and authorities by providing clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Participating in site visits to gather firsthand information and assess existing conditions.
• Evaluating existing traffic conditions and infrastructure performance.
• Contributing to road safety assessments and the development of appropriate mitigation measures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong technical report writing skills and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Riyadh.
• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.
• A plus: Knowledge of regional standards, guidelines, and codes for road design and traffic engineering in Saudi Arabia or the broader Gulf region.
