About the Wash Attendant Role

W Hotels is seeking a full-time Wash Attendant to join their team in Riyadh. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to develop foundational skills in laundry operations.

Core Responsibilities

The Wash Attendant will be responsible for operating and monitoring various laundry machinery, including washing, dry cleaning, and drying equipment. This involves the precise addition of chemicals and regular cleaning of lint traps to ensure efficient operation and garment care.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Identifying stained or damaged items and determining the appropriate course of action, such as repair, spot treatment, rewashing, or discarding.
• Inspecting articles for cleanliness after washing, drying, or dry-cleaning processes and placing them into clean linen carts.
• Setting dryers to specified times and temperatures according to the fabric types within each load.
• Removing lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Folding cleaned articles to designated sizes, utilizing either manual methods or a folding machine.
• Maintaining accurate records of all laundered items.

Operational Standards and Procedures

Adherence to company policies and procedures is essential. This includes maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. The role also requires developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to concerns. Physical Requirements and Safety

This position involves physical tasks. Employees must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Movement may occur in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs. Reaching overhead, below the knees, and performing bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions are also part of the job. Following all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents or unsafe conditions, and completing safety training are mandatory.
