Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer for the Ar Rjum Project in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role will primarily focus on the process plant scope within a greenfield gold project. The Ar Rjum Project encompasses three open-pit mining operations, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure, including water and power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and accommodation villages. The project site is located approximately 200 km north-east of Taif, towards Riyadh, and about 26 km south of Al Mouwayh, a town on the Jeddah-Riyadh highway. This position is open to candidates in Taif, Riyadh, and Jeddah.

Role Summary

As the Senior Cost Engineer for the Process Plant, you will be responsible for comprehensive analysis and cost control activities for the General Construction Contractor. This includes managing the scope for Concrete, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Platework, Electrical, and Instrumentation within the Process Facility. Your responsibilities will involve preparing cost forecasts, reviewing cost trends, and implementing project requirements for effective cost control. You will provide detailed analysis to address cost engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cost budgets and ensure accurate cost and cashflow forecasts by utilizing the change management system.
• Perform ongoing cost and cashflow analysis.
• Monitor contractor progress, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals, and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure that approved trends and changes are incorporated into the overall project Estimate at Completion (EAC) and budget for both cost and quantities.
• Prepare routine performance reports and conduct special studies related to the assigned scope for presentation to project, corporate, and/or customer management teams.
• Maintain open communication with other organizations to support cost engineering analysis and control activities.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in cost engineering, particularly within process plant environments.
