About the Role

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran is seeking applications for faculty positions in Human Factors/Ergonomics. This full-time role is open to candidates at all ranks: assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor. KFUPM aims to attract professionals with expertise in Industrial Engineering and related areas who are committed to academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teaching experience in Human Factors/Ergonomics and related fields.
• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and research endeavors.
• Conduct original research within the domain of expertise, leading to high-quality publications in reputed archival journals.
• Play a lead role in research projects, aiming to secure research grant income.
• Fulfill departmental teaching requirements, including developing lab activities at the undergraduate level.
• Integrate recent advancements in the field into course content.
• Initiate and maintain collaborative research activities with faculty members, resulting in peer-reviewed articles in high-impact professional journals.
• Participate actively in departmental and university service, including program development.
• Adhere to job responsibilities as outlined by the Ministry of Civil Service regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess strong research potential, evidenced by publications in reputable journals.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Experience between 0-1 years is preferred for entry-level positions, with higher experience expected for senior ranks.
