About the Rig Superintendent Role

Arabian Drilling Co. is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Rig Superintendent to join its operations team in Dhahran. This full-time leadership position holds overall responsibility for the performance and profitability of assigned drilling rigs, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to stringent safety standards.

Role Overview

The Rig Superintendent operates within the Operations department, reporting directly to the Rig Manager. This role encompasses critical oversight of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols, maintenance programs, daily drilling operations, and comprehensive personnel management, including subcontractors. A key aspect of the role is fostering a culture that prioritizes safety and collaboration, alongside building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective project completion and asset protection and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of drilling operations and well completion processes.
• Direct logistics and support services to ensure seamless rig operations.
• Manage rig personnel and subcontractors, including training and performance oversight.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols and stringent HSE standards.
• Cultivate and maintain positive client relations and identify business development opportunities.
• Provide comprehensive rig management and operational oversight to optimize performance and profitability.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in drilling operations.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating multiple drilling crews.
• Extensive experience in managing all facets of wellbore operations.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize drilling performance, reduce operational costs, and meet project timelines effectively.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and a proven commitment to safety leadership.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Possession of a valid IWCF or IADC well control certificate at the Supervisor Level.
• Additional industry-recognized drilling certifications are required.

Work Environment and Reporting Structure

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, where the Rig Superintendent will operate within a dynamic drilling environment. The role involves direct reporting to the Rig Manager, working collaboratively to achieve operational objectives and maintain high standards across all assigned rigs.
