About Arabian Drilling Co. and the Role

Arabian Drilling Co. is seeking a highly experienced Rig Manager (Talent Pool) to join their operations in Dhahran. This full-time position is integral to overseeing the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of drilling rigs, ensuring operational excellence and strong client relationships.

Role Overview

As a Rig Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of an assigned onshore or offshore drilling rig. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, focusing on building and maintaining positive relationships. A key objective is to maximize performance and minimize administrative burdens for Rig Supervisors, enabling the OIM/Rig Superintendent and other front-line leaders to concentrate primarily on safe and efficient rig operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to the drilling crew and on-site personnel.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Cultivate and maintain effective client relations.
• Oversee all logistical aspects and maintenance requirements of the drilling rig.
• Implement strategies for continuous performance optimization across drilling operations.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in drilling operations.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Rig Manager on drilling rigs, encompassing both onshore and/or offshore environments.
• Proven capability in leading and motivating drilling crews effectively.
• Extensive experience in managing drilling operations from spud-to-release.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize drilling performance and minimize operational downtime.
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and a commitment to safety best practices.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Rig Superintendent is preferable.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• High School Certifications.
• Valid IWCF or IADC well control certificate at Supervisor Level.
• Stuck pipe certification.
