Anaplan EPM / Planning & Forecasting Architect

About the Role

emagine is seeking an Anaplan EPM / Planning & Forecasting Architect for a full-time, 3-month contract position in Dhahran, Eastern region. This role is primarily focused on establishing and optimizing the finance data model to support future Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), planning, and forecasting initiatives. The position ensures that foundational requirements and integration principles are clearly defined to facilitate subsequent project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and data structures across affiliates.
• Define planning dimensions, hierarchies, and granularity requirements for the target data model.
• Outline driver-based planning, scenario modeling, and Replacement Cost (RC) margin forecasting considerations for downstream processes.
• Define conceptual integration principles among ERP/CFIN, EPM, and reporting layers.
• Contribute to EPM readiness actions and dependencies within the foundational roadmap.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience, with several end-to-end Anaplan implementations as a Solution Architect or Lead Model Builder.
• Strong understanding of integrated financial and operational planning, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and capex.
• Experience integrating planning platforms with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience in downstream Oil & Gas (refining, trading, chemicals, lubricants, retail, or integrated value chain) within a multi-entity / multi-affiliate environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Anaplan Certified Solution Architect / Master Anaplanner certification.
• Knowledge of other Tier-1 EPM platforms such as OneStream, Oracle EPM / Hyperion.
• Experience with predictive forecasting or AI-enabled planning.

Project Context

This role is integral to Phase 1 workstreams, which include the Finance Data Model, Data & Technology Readiness, and Foundational Roadmap & Governance. The indicative seniority for this position is equivalent to a Manager or Senior Manager.
