About the Role

King Fahd University (KFUPM) Business School invites applications for full-time faculty positions in the Department of Global Studies. This role is based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and is offered as a two-year renewable contract. The university is seeking candidates for the ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Areas of Specialization

The department is seeking faculty with expertise in various specializations, including public policy and energy policy. Other areas of interest include nonprofit management, nonprofit studies, and leadership. For history, specializations in world, comparative, and modern history are relevant. In sociology, environmental sociology is a key area. Psychology specializations include social, business, and industrial-organizational psychology. Candidates with expertise or experience related to the Middle East are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the specialization.
• Advise and mentor students at various academic levels.
• Supervise MS and ** theses and dissertations.
• Develop and maintain a funded research program in the candidate's area of expertise.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality education and active student interaction.

Qualifications and Requirements

• An earned ** from a reputable institution is required.
• Applicants must possess a strong record of published research.
• Experience supervising graduate research is essential.
• Relevant university-level teaching experience is required.
• Teaching and/or industrial experience in the specialization area is necessary.
• Fluency in English is required, as it is the university's medium of instruction.

Compensation and Benefits

King Fahd University offers a competitive tax-free salary, determined based on qualifications and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes furnished on-campus housing, essential utilities and maintenance, and a local transportation allowance. New appointees receive airfare to Dammam, and final repatriation airfare is provided for up to four people. The university contributes towards local tuition fees for school-age dependent children.
