About the Opportunity

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) is seeking qualified candidates for full-time faculty positions as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. These roles are based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and are open exclusively to Saudi nationals holding a PhD degree, with a focus on both research and teaching contributions.

Key Specializations

The department is particularly interested in candidates who possess expertise in one of the following core areas of Civil and Environmental Engineering:

• Structural Engineering
• Geotechnical Engineering
• Transportation and Highway Engineering

Core Responsibilities

The selected faculty member will be expected to dedicate approximately 35-40 hours per week to professional duties. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering effective teaching in relevant courses.
• Conducting impactful research and contributing to academic publications.
• Providing academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Performing administrative duties as assigned by the department.
• Undertaking any other academic duties required by the concerned academic department.

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following essential criteria to be considered for these faculty positions:

• An earned ** degree from a reputable university in the relevant engineering field.
• Completion of full-time bachelor’s and master’s degrees with very good academic grades.
• Possession of a certificate equivalency if the degree was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
