About the Role

The Department of Mathematics at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science. This full-time role is based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in Data Science and Financial Mathematics.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and student interaction. Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Advising and mentoring students.
• Supervising MS and PhD theses/dissertations.
• Developing funded research programs appropriate to their field of specialization.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must possess a conferred ** or an equivalent international doctoral degree. The university requires candidates to be fluent in English, as it is the medium of instruction.

• Junior candidates are expected to show outstanding promise in research, along with strong interest and ability in teaching. They will be expected to teach courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Senior candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching.

Experience

The role typically requires 2-5 years of relevant experience, depending on the academic rank applied for (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor).
