About BAE Systems Saudi Arabia

BAE Systems serves as the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under Government-to-Government agreements, providing equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. The company is responsible for the maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and trains RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in the safe use of aircraft, equipment, and weapons. The Role of Maintenance Operation Control Supervisor

The Maintenance Operation Control Supervisor operates in a challenging and rewarding environment, playing a critical role in ensuring aircraft readiness for the RSAF customer. This full-time position, based in Dhahran, is highly visible and involves daily interaction with various departments and the RSAF. The role requires balancing the coordination of multiple trades to resolve both routine and complex engineering issues with the responsibility for accurate recording and reporting of aircraft issues to both RSAF and BAE Systems Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple trades of maintenance personnel to rectify aircraft issues efficiently.
  • Maintain constant communication with the RSAF Maintenance Operation Control Centre to gather current information on the RSAF Tornado fleet status.
  • Determine the validity of RSAF Line Technical Support requests in accordance with the SFA Statement of Work and local Concept of Operations.
  • Produce daily reports on the RSAF Tornado fleet, detailing maintenance classifications such as Non-Mission Critical Supply, Non-Mission Critical Maintenance, Fully Mission Capable, and Non-Possessed.
  • Plan shift patterns to ensure effective manpower utilisation and adequate staffing, enabling the Maintenance Operation Control Centre to provide 24-hour service during working days.
  • Attend daily morning meetings to brief RSAF members and gather information on unserviceable aircraft.
  • Coordinate, on behalf of the Tornado Maintenance Servicing Centre, the preparation, collection, and delivery of servicing aircraft, the provision of aircraft refuelling and defueling, and emergency services cover for engine ground runs.

Work Environment

This role is based in Dhahran and operates within a dynamic environment that requires continuous coordination and communication with various internal departments and external stakeholders, particularly the Royal Saudi Air Force. The position demands a proactive approach to managing aircraft maintenance operations and reporting.
