The Role of Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist for a full-time position in Dhahran. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across various sites and providing expert advice and training. The specialist will work under the direction of the Director AFAMC, contributing to the safety and well-being of personnel within the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) bases and the Aeromedical Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational and environmental health and safety audits at customer sites throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Manage the health and safety department at the aeromedical centre and report any deficiencies to the Director AFAMC.
  • Design and carry out occupational hygiene surveys at various RSAF bases on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Produce comprehensive written reports of audits or surveys, incorporating graphs, charts, pictures, and other visual aids for clear customer understanding.
  • Design and deliver occupational and environmental health and safety briefings and training to customers as requested by the Director AFAMC.
  • Ensure the Aeromedical Centre maintains compliance with the central policies of the Armed Forces Medical Services General Directorate.
  • Develop and provide Crew Resource Management (CRM) training courses to aircrew undergoing physiological training at the Aeromedical Centre.
  • Provide technical occupational health advice as requested by the customer on behalf of the Director AFAMC.
  • Advise on the development of customer occupational and environmental policies and standards.
  • Assist with other duties directed by the Director AFAMC or SAMS in support of LOA 13 operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety. The position requires a professional who can effectively manage health and safety operations, conduct detailed audits and surveys, and deliver specialized training.
