About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Patient Financial Services Advisor to join our team in Dhahran. This full-time position involves providing supervised assistance to patients regarding their financial responsibilities and insurance coverage. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in patient financial services or a similar capacity.

Role Purpose

The Patient Financial Services Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring patients understand their financial obligations and available payment options. This includes validating patient coverage and eligibility, clearly explaining charges, payment expectations, and copayments. The advisor guides patients through various payment options and installment plans, contributing to patient satisfaction and the efficient delivery of financial services within the healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure accurate billing and transparent communication of financial responsibilities.
• Address coverage discrepancies and collaborate with insurance companies to resolve issues as necessary.
• Assist patients with understanding their financial responsibilities, charges, payment expectations, and copayments.
• Coordinate payment plans or provide information on financial assistance options, and respond to basic financial inquiries.
• Escalate complex financial issues to senior staff for resolution when required.
• Handle frontline cash transactions, including the issuance of invoices, cash collection, and processing of refunds.
• Ensure accurate processing of all payments, manage cash drawers or registers, and meticulously maintain transaction records.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts and report findings to the relevant reconciliation team or staff.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of experience in patient financial services, insurance verification, or a related administrative role within a healthcare environment. The role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and patient interaction.
