Agent Purchasing

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Agent Purchasing to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the accuracy of purchasing records. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience and contribute to maintaining efficient operations within the hotel's purchasing department.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintain clear and organized records, ensuring all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
• Post invoices using computer programs and conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels.
• Verify and track received inventory, completing inventory reports and logs.
• Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
• Receive, unload, and process deliveries, refusing acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
• Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper stock levels.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones appropriately.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats and inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: None specified.
