About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Medina is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for its Ambulance Services. This full-time role involves providing basic life support, emergency treatment, and transportation to patients, ensuring their life and health are preserved. The EMT will also contribute to the operational efficiency and maintenance of the ambulance services section.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls to deliver immediate and efficient care to critically ill and injured patients.
• Transport patients to and from the Hospital, and between the patient’s residence and the assigned site.
• Administer emergency medical treatment at the scene and in transit, utilizing various emergency and medical equipment, adhering to departmental protocols and policies.
• Assist within the Emergency Medicine Department during declared code situations.
• Monitor and maintain ambulances and equipment to ensure proper working order and adequate inventory of supplies.
• Report any requirements for replacement equipment or supplies to the supervisor.
• Provide patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Maintain response readiness consistent with Hospital Ambulance Services response criteria.
• Assess injuries and provide emergency care and protection to entrapped patients, employing prescribed techniques and appliances for safe extrication and transfer to Emergency Medicine.
• Following extrication, provide additional care by triaging injured individuals according to standard emergency procedures.
• Function as a trainer or preceptor when required.

Operational Duties

• Participate in the overall operation and maintenance of the ambulance services section.
• Engage in assigned projects and tasks as applicable.
• Contribute to personal and peer education, training, and development initiatives.
• Adhere to all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Work Environment

This role is based in Medina, Saudi Arabia, within the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center. The position is full-time, requiring a commitment to emergency response and patient care within a hospital setting.
