Host/Hostess Lead

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Host/Hostess Lead to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves overseeing guest seating and reservations, ensuring a smooth dining experience, and providing support to management in team development. The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones, manage dining reservations, and input diner information into the reservation system.
• Maintain a waitlist and provide accurate wait times to guests.
• Make appropriate seating decisions using the station rotation chart and organize seating for large or special needs groups.
• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables, ensuring proper place settings.
• Guide guests through dining areas and offer assistance as needed.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, and safety.
• Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to meet guest needs and foster teamwork.

Leadership and Support Functions

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model for team members.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Operational Standards and Conduct

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, using clear and professional language.
• Answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond appropriately to concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
