Host/Hostess Lead

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Host/Hostess Lead to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves managing guest seating, reservations, and supporting management in various operational aspects, ensuring a smooth dining experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones, manage dining reservations, and accurately enter diner information into the reservation system.
• Maintain wait lists and provide guests with accurate wait times.
• Make appropriate seating decisions based on the station rotation chart and organize seating for large groups and guests with special needs.
• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them efficiently at clean, available tables, ensuring proper place settings.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide necessary assistance.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to meet guest needs and foster teamwork.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model for staff, upholding company and safety policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. It also involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. The Host/Hostess Lead will maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day and perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Proficiency in managing reservations and seating arrangements.
• Commitment to following company policies, safety protocols, and maintaining professional standards.
