VRF Technician

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled VRF Technician to join our team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for residential, commercial, or industrial facilities. The technician will ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, maintain, and repair various HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, DX units, and VRF/VRV systems.
• Manage split and packaged units, as well as exhaust and fresh air systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules.
• Diagnose system faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to guide work.
• Ensure proper refrigerant charging, pressure testing, vacuuming, and leak detection procedures are followed.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, local codes, and project quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and records.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades as necessary.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when required.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience as an HVAC Technician, with a strong focus on VRF systems. The role requires practical expertise in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of HVAC equipment.
