The Role of Senior Risk Manager

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join its project team based in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for establishing and maintaining robust risk management processes across projects, ensuring systematic identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive risk, issue, and opportunity management process.
• Create and maintain a risk matrix, detailing dependencies and the impact of schedule deviations.
• Identify, monitor, and manage project dependencies, resolving any related issues.
• Identify and coordinate discussions and agreements to realize project benefits and opportunities.
• Monitor projects to ensure active and robust risk management processes are in place.
• Implement the Risk Management Plan, Risk Log, and associated governance procedures.
• Track significant risks to ensure they are systematically identified, recorded, evaluated, managed, re-evaluated, and communicated across the program.
• Identify, communicate, and manage inter-program or external risks.
• Identify and manage internal program-related risks.
• Review and update the Risk Log based on Program Status Reports and Meetings.
• Provide accurate and timely management information on project status.
• Monitor progress and drive the delivery of individual projects, challenging and accelerating where appropriate.
• Enable the management of risks and opportunities at the program level.
• Drive commonality and coherence across various projects.
• Ensure interdependencies between projects are understood and managed.
• Ensure appropriate legal and commercial standards are set and adhered to.
• Ensure value for money for the client through supplier negotiations.
• Develop client capacity through knowledge, skills, and abilities transfer.
• Implement best practice program, project, and other management and administrative processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• over 10 years of relevant experience in risk management within project environments.
• Work Location

  This full-time position is based in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, as part of a dedicated project team.
