About the Role

Red Sea Global is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Associate Director – Commercial for its subsidiary, Botanica. This full-time position, based in Umluj, requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and is responsible for driving revenue growth, business development, sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships within Botanica's horticulture and landscaping operations. The role is key to scaling the business and enhancing its market presence and profitability across various services including landscaping, nursery operations, plant maintenance, soil products, indoor plants, and floral services.

Business Development and Growth

This position will identify and cultivate new business prospects across Botanica's diverse service offerings. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with a range of clients such as corporate entities, developers, hotels, malls, government bodies, event planners, florists, and retail partners. The role also involves leading the development of proposals, managing commercial negotiations, and executing contracts, alongside establishing strategic partnerships and distribution channels to foster business expansion.

Sales and Revenue Management

The Associate Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets. This includes overseeing pricing strategies, quotations, and commercial terms. Performance monitoring, pipeline management, and forecasting are also key duties. The role requires managing key accounts, nurturing client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction, and driving repeat business.

Marketing and Commercial Strategy

Developing and executing marketing strategies aligned with business objectives to strengthen brand positioning and market presence is a core function. This includes leading digital marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, and promotional activities, as well as supporting product launches and seasonal campaigns. The role also involves developing and implementing the overall commercial strategy, conducting market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessments to identify new products, services, and market opportunities. Budgeting, revenue planning, and profitability analysis support are also required, along with establishing and monitoring commercial KPIs.

Leadership and Collaboration

This role involves building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing commercial team. Close collaboration with Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Production teams is essential for driving process improvements and commercial best practices. The Associate Director will also represent Botanica in client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. A strong commercial acumen, proven track record in business development, sales, and marketing within the horticulture or landscaping sectors is required. Experience in managing teams and collaborating across departments is also essential for this role.
