Electrical Technician

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Tabuk. This full-time role involves carrying out maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on the plant's electrical machinery and equipment. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the effective functionality and reliability of electrical systems by adhering to standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily and routine preventative electrical maintenance work according to schedules and ACWA NOMAC procedures.
• Monitor the physical condition of equipment, reporting non-conformances to the Electrical Engineer/Supervisor.
• Respond to electrical failures and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and maximize equipment functionality.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, including diagnosing, repairing, and testing circuit or wiring faults, and locating cable faults.
• Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction in operational equipment such as transformers, motors, relays, switches, and control devices, taking corrective measures in collaboration with the Electrical Engineer/Supervisor.
• Interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
• Check stock levels of necessary spare parts to support effective inventory control.
• Update maintenance logbooks with details of work performed, including defaults, problems, findings, and equipment conditions.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programs, and projects in line with organizational standards.
• Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures, and instructions.
• Comply with all health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing corrective actions.

Additional Duties

The Electrical Technician may be required to perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
