About the Role

Sama Construction & Contracting is seeking a skilled Full-time Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Tabuk, Tabūk, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a specialization in Hospital Systems & Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) and involves critical oversight of mechanical infrastructure within healthcare projects.

Role Purpose and Focus

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and successful execution of mechanical designs and installations for hospital facilities. This position demands strong experience in design review, healthcare mechanical infrastructure, and the practical execution of complex hospital projects, particularly concerning medical gas systems and environmental controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review, evaluate, and verify mechanical design drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards before project execution.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and compliance of Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) in strict accordance with international healthcare codes, including HTM 02-01 and NFPA 99.
• Oversee all mechanical works on site, encompassing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems specifically tailored for hospital facilities.
• Ensure that all mechanical infrastructure meets stringent infection control and healthcare environment standards, including ventilation systems for cleanrooms and isolation rooms.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, project managers, and hospital authorities to effectively resolve design discrepancies and address site-specific queries.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Demonstrated strong experience in design review processes.
• Proven expertise in healthcare mechanical infrastructure.
• Extensive experience in executing hospital projects, with a focus on specialized systems.

This is a full-time position based in Tabuk, Tabūk, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on-site within various construction and contracting projects, primarily focusing on the development and upgrade of healthcare facilities.
