About the Senior Electrical Engineer Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on leading the design, installation, and commissioning of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) power distribution networks critical for large-scale infrastructure developments in the region. The role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in power systems engineering and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve complex electrical designs, including layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection coordination studies, and short-circuit/voltage drop calculations for MV and LV networks.
• Supervise the site installation of MV/LV substations, transformers, switchgear, ring main units (RMUs), package substations, and associated cable routing networks.
• Ensure all electrical engineering designs and field installations comply with project specifications, Saudi Electric Company (SEC) standards, HCIS regulations, and relevant international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
• Lead technical evaluations for the procurement of critical electrical equipment and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for switchgear and transformers.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and ELV automation teams to ensure spatial coordination, containment compliance, and seamless power integration for MEP systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a specific focus on large-scale MV/LV distribution and infrastructure projects.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) status or registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) as a Consultant/Senior Engineer is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP or CYME for load flow and short-circuit analysis.
• In-depth technical knowledge of power transformer sizing, protection relay settings, and grounding system designs.
• Direct experience with KSA giga-projects (*, NEOM, Oxagon, Trojena) is considered a significant asset.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor junior engineers and manage sub-contractors.
• Exceptional command of written and spoken English for high-level client reporting and stakeholder alignment.

This is a full-time position requiring relocation to and work within the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia.
