The Role: Building Services Technician

Bezirk Schwaben is seeking a dedicated Building Services Technician for the Oberschönenfeld Museum and the Kunst_Raum Weiherhof. This is a full-time position responsible for the technical upkeep and operational support of these cultural institutions. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage various building systems and contribute to the smooth execution of museum activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot simple malfunctions in fire alarm, alarm, and locking systems.
• Manage heating, electrical systems, and other building services, including sanitary facilities.
• Oversee the maintenance of outdoor facilities, including winter service.
• Assist with the setup and dismantling of exhibitions, including the preparation and production of exhibition architecture, lighting, and media technology.
• Support the execution of museum transports, ensure proper storage of objects, and maintain depots.
• Participate in the setup and dismantling of large events, which may require activities outside of regular working hours.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant trade, such as plumbing, electrical, or a comparable qualification.
• Possession of a Class B driver's license is mandatory.
• A Class C/CE driver's license is desirable.

Compensation for this position is provided according to pay group 7 under TVÖD.
