About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton is seeking a dedicated Attendant Laundry to join its team in Makkah. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to maintaining high standards of linen care and operational efficiency within a hospitality environment.

Core Duties and Operations

The Attendant Laundry will be responsible for the meticulous handling and processing of all laundry items. Key duties include:

• Operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding necessary chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identifying stained or damaged items and determining the appropriate action for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspecting the cleanliness of articles removed from washers, dryers, or dry-cleaning machines and placing them in clean linen carts.
• Setting dryers to designated times and temperatures based on the fabric types contained in each load.
• Removing lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Folding cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintaining accurate records of all laundered items.

Beyond the core laundry operations, the role requires adherence to company policies and a commitment to professional conduct. Responsibilities include:

• Following all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and completing required safety training and certifications.
• Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to reach common goals, and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects.
• Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Candidates for the Attendant Laundry position should meet the following experience requirement:

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Physical Demands of the Role

This role involves various physical activities and requires candidates to be capable of:

• Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
